IBM Express Desktop Managed Services Gaining greater control of your corporate PCs HOW IT WORKS IBM Express Desktop Management Services addresses several key desktop administrative tasks. Unlike point solutions - which typically are client-server applications with their own deployment and management headaches - IBM Desktop Management Services solutions are delivered via the Web, so they are easier to deploy and manage. The services are designed to support your end users wherever they are (in branch offices, at home or on the road). And the Web-based interface allows administrators to access the management control center from virtually anywhere. The services are designed to reduce the time required to manage your PCs, as well as to automate the delivery of the software, patches and virus definitions needed to keep PCs secure and operating in tip-top shape. They also can assist you in tracking hardware and software resources, helping you to lower your total cost of ownership. IBM Express Desktop Management Services modules are available in two ways:
